Give Back Feature: Rechel Sayaphupha

Today we are happy to kick-off our Give Back Feature with Rechel from the Hi Rechel blog. On her blog you'll find everything from lifestyle, fashion, food, parenting insight and more! She took the time to answer a few questions about why she thinks giving is important. We hope it inspires you to give freely in your life and join the #givefreely movement!

: Tell us a little about yourself and your website.

: I'm a full time mother, online entrepreneur and lifestyle blogger. I launched my blog in 2013 to occasionally share my thoughts on event planning, fashion and beauty products. After a couple months of blogging, I was offered opportunities to work with brands. Since then, my blog became more than just a hobby for me. I love being able to share all my thoughts with my readers and followers.

: What does giving freely mean to you?

: For me, giving freely has no boundaries and expects no return. It’s simply having the open mind and willingness to help others. Everybody is capable of giving freely. It’s just like giving love and kindness – it doesn’t cost a penny, but it gives you the best feeling in return.

: What would you do if you could give freely? How would you help your community/someone with it if you had the resources to?

: I love making people smile and I like to help out any way I can, whether it is big or small. The last event I was a part of was in the Phillippines. I organized a fundraiser where the proceeds went to providing activities for orphans. The fundraiser was called Miss Metro Clark Beauty for a Cause. I did this for three consecutive years. Now, I'm a mother and starting my life here in the United States. I haven’t had much time to organize such a big event, but I take any opportunity I can to volunteer my time. I would love to channel my passion in event planning, beauty and fashion into a big venture fundraiser again in the future.
